Seesaw

Reception children receive a small maths update each Friday to explain how parents/carers can reinforce the weeks learning at home. On a Wednesday, the children also receive a small Early Years linked activity to complete. 

The children will receive a phonics - Read, Write, Inc (RWI) - homework on a Friday. This is a virtual classroom link to enhance their learning from their phonics session from the week.

Strive for 5!

We ask that children read at home at least 5 times over the week. In reception, especially in the Autumn term, this can be a combination of sharing a story with your child and them reading to you. Your child will be entered into the reading raffle if they strive for 5 and return their reading record to school each Monday. Reading is a powerful tool to learning in the Early Years and there are lots of ways to make reading fun and exciting at home, see below for some top tips for reading stories with your child!
