Science
At Frizington Community Primary School we recognise and value the importance of science and scientific enquiry and intend to provide all children with a broad and balanced science curriculum, which is fun, practical and engaging, and which provides the foundations for understanding the world through biology, chemistry and physics. We do this through fully adhering to the aims of the national curriculum and fostering a healthy curiosity and interest in the sciences. We encourage children to develop their scientific knowledge, understanding and vocabulary through a wide range of practical experiences. We want to inspire children to become the next generation of scientists and we aim to offer opportunities for them to learn more about the Science industry jobs in their local area. We believe that a secure knowledge of the different areas of 'Working Scientifically' taught across the three main areas of Science (chemistry, physics and biology) will give our children the tools they need to participate in many areas of the curriculum.
