Home Learning - Important information17 November 2020 (by admin) |
Dear Parents
Home Learning:
It is inevitable that at some point during the forthcoming weeks that we will have more children isolating (due to family members being symptomatic or positive) and/or a positive result(s) in school which would lead to a bubble(s) closure.
With this in mind, staff have been completing training on Microsoft Teams. Seesaw was amazing however the feedback from the parents through questionnaires, was that more lessons via video would be appreciated. It also lets the children use Microsoft applications like word, publisher and power point for free. We will also continue to use Seesaw, as it is really user friendly.
Over the next few days we will be sending out your child’s Microsoft 365 usernames and passwords by letter. Microsoft Teams can be downloaded to any device (android and apple) and it might be worth trying when you get your user name and password incase any issues need to be resolved.
If any parents do not have the ICT or Wi-Fi capacity to support with the home learning please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can put something in place to help.
Tonight, your child will be bringing home an exercise book to be used in the event of home learning, as directed by staff. Please keep it safe at home.
If your child is absent (or you would like some additional homework) please look on your child’s class page for ideas.
KS1 Drop-Offs:
Please make sure that you bring your children on to the School site and wait until they are in the building. We cannot guarantee that there will always be a staff member on the yard/door to supervise so it is important to make sure they are safe.
Any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Stay Safe
Mrs Rose
