Information for Parents 21/01/2121 January 2021 (by admin) |
Good Morning All, I hope you are all safe and well. Thank you so much to everyone at home for supporting the home learning. We are all so impressed with the amazing things that you are sharing and the lovely things that you are doing together as a family, it is an absolute pleasure to see all this on Seesaw.
Keeping Safe On-Line
In our Home Learning Policy, it states: “any videos/photos sent to school are checked with parent first. Children must be appropriately clothed and in a communal space in their home (not their bedroom).” Through discussion we appreciate that the bedroom might be the only quiet place in the house for children to record and therefore we are changing this part of the statement. (Apologies to Y5/6 Parents for any confusion). The children still need to be appropriately dressed and parents must check content of videos and photographs before they are posted on Seesaw.
To safeguard staff and pupils, any 1:1 Teams session must have an adult close by (in the same room). Staff will be checking this before they start any 1:1 meeting.
Attendance
A few parents have asked if we could have the register slightly earlier as this will work better with their work commitments and so we are now setting the register from 8am. Please make sure that you register on the “set register – Seesaw activity” by 10am daily. By registering on the task set, the teachers can see all the children in one place, rather than having to check individual threads.
Reminder Childcare Bookings for Next Week
All bookings for next week need to be made by 12pm today you can find it here or on our website Parent Information/Covid-19/Childcare Provision
Resources
As already shared if you need a new exercise book for home learning please let Mrs Little know via email or jotter and we can have one available to collect
Support
Please remember that we will do everything we can to support your learning at home. If you are finding the work difficult, need help or would just like a chat, please let staff know by sending a message on Seesaw. We also have devices and additional Wi-Fi available for any families where this may help, again, just let us know.
There are still some misconceptions around the home learning so please make sure that you read the information sent home or ask your class teacher if you are unsure. All the information can be found here or on our website Parent Information/Home Learning.
Again, it is really important to let us know if we can help you any further.
Take Care
Mrs Rose
