Important Information

22 March 2021 (by admin)

Good Morning All

Thank you to everyone for supporting the school in implementing our changes on our return.  This morning worked really well as people arrived between 08:50 and 09:00 and the children could then go straight in to their classes and there was no waiting and potential mixing of bubbles.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Lateral Flow Device tests (LFD) and PCR (Polymarase Chain Reaction) tests Clarification:

There seems to be some misconceptions about the use of the LFD Test.  The Public Health and Government guidance states that If your child, or anyone in your household, is displaying any symptoms of Covid-19, you must book a PCR test:

“If your child has symptoms of COVID-19, please arrange for them to have a PCR test, which can be arranged via the link here: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or by calling 119. LFD tests are for asymptomatic testing (i.e. testing people who do not have symptoms) and should NOT be used to test individuals with symptoms.”

If your child or anyone in your family is symptomatic, the household must (by law) isolate until a negative test result is received.  Children who are symptomatic should not be in school until they have a negative PCR test, regardless of what an LFD test result is.

“If an LFD test is carried out on a household member and shows a positive result, a follow-up PCR test needs to be completed as soon as possible and the household should isolate immediately. The child’s school should be informed of the result, as they will need to identify any close contacts from the setting at this point and ask them to isolate.”

Further information and links for support were shared in the School Newsletter last week.

Thank you to everyone who has donated eggs and returned their raffle tickets so far.  Please remember all donations of raffle prizes and tickets need to be returned by Monday 29th March.

Thank you for your continued support.
