Dear Parent / Carer

Here are a few reminders about the rest of this term:

1. Year 5 Forest School tomorrow – Cancelled:
   Unfortunately, we have not got any adults for the Year 5 forest school tomorrow afternoon so the trip has been cancelled.

2. After School Clubs:
   This is the last week for our Clubs except for Dance Club – we will be offering the ‘owed’ session for Dance Club next Tuesday after School (usual time). The Den will still be available up until Monday 18^th December (to be booked via the School Hub).
   
   
3. Christmas Fayre – Friday 8^th December 2023 from 3.20 pm to 5.30 pm
   Thank you to everyone for your very kind generosity for sending in prizes for the tombola and raffle – we are overwhelmed by your donations and they are very much appreciated.  Sorry to keep asking, but any donations of cakes for this Friday would also be most gratefully received.
   
   If you are unable to attend the Christmas Fayre but would still like to purchase some raffle tickets – we will be selling these from the School Office this Friday morning.
   
   We will open the door to the Christmas Fayre from 3.20 pm – as soon as the KS2 children are safely out of School.  Please note that for this Friday afternoon only, the Year 3 / 4 class need to be collected from the top yard by the Green Room fire exit door.

4. Costumes for Christmas Shows:
   Please note that Year 5/6 costumes need to be in School this Friday morning and Year 3 / 4 costumes in School by Monday morning ready for their dress rehearsals.
   
   
5. Christmas Performances next Week
   Children need to return to School at 5.30 pm for their evening performances please. If any KS2 children are walking home after their evening performance by themselves, please remember to provide a note for them to walk home.  As previously mentioned, for the afternoon performances, children may go home with their parent / carer at the end of the show but older siblings will need to stay in School until the end of the School day.  If anybody requires evacuation assistance, please can you let us know in advance of the show(s).  We will be displaying photo consent sheets at the front entrance for each show – please remember that photographs of children cannot be shared on social media without the consent of their parents.
   
   
6. Carol Service at St Paul’s Church and Festive Lunch on Friday 15 December 2023
   Children can wear their Christmas jumper with their School uniform on Friday 15^th December if they so wish. We will be walking down to Church at 10.30 am – we are still looking for a couple of parent adults to walk with us please.  If you are able to help, please let us know asap.
   
   
7. Christmas Disco – Monday 18^th December 2023:
   We are holding a special end of term Christmas Disco on the afternoon of Monday 18^th December from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm free of charge. Children will be given a drink and some treats.  Children can bring their party clothes in a bag to get changed into at the end of the day.  Children will need to be collected from the front door at 4.30 pm.  If your child is not staying for the disco, please collect your child from the front door at their usual home time.  If you want your KS2 child to walk home after the disco, please send a note.
   
   
8. Payment of Trips
   Just a reminder that the payment for the KS2 Theatre trip is due tomorrow and the payment for the KS1 trip is due by no later than this Friday. The next instalment for the Year 5/6 Residential is also due tomorrow.
   
   
9. Volunteer for KS2 Theatre to the Lake trip – Tuesday 12^th December 2023 am
   We are looking for one parent adult volunteer to accompany our KS2 Theatre trip next Tuesday morning. Please contact the School Office, if you would like to attend.
   
   
10. Last day of term – Tuesday 19^th December 2023 at 1.15 pm
    Please note that School will close at 1.15 pm on Tuesday 19^th December (no Den available). If KS2 children are walking home, they will need a note.
