Emergency lockdown, After School Clubs and reminders about upcoming dates etc5 January 2024 (by admin) |
Dear Parent / Carer
Emergency Lockdown:
We would just like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful School community for the trust and confidence that you showed towards our staff and School procedures yesterday. Many community members have taken the time to express their gratitude to our staff for keeping their children safe during the difficult circumstances that we faced. I have shared all of these messages with staff today and they very much appreciated them - your kind words mean so much to us. As you will be aware, we followed our emergency lockdown procedures which worked incredibly well - we have since evaluated it, and made minor amendments where necessary. The children seem to be very settled in School today, however - if you know that your child is finding the situation very difficult, please do not hesitate to let us know so that we can provide the appropriate support.
After School Clubs:
All children have places in their chosen clubs - there are still a few spaces left in all of them. We currently don’t have enough children signed up to the KS2 Countries Club starting next Thursday – unless we get some more names by Monday lunch-time, then unfortunately we will have to cancel that club. If you want to make any bookings for any of the clubs – please send either a Jotter message, email or phone the School Office. Places will be issued on a first come - first served basis.
Reminders about upcoming dates/events:
- Class newsletters will be sent out via the Jotter on Monday 8th January.
- The next Year 5/6 residential deposit is due on Monday 8th January – payment via the School Hub please.
- The Year 6’s are going to Forest School next Thursday afternoon (as per the Jotter message sent out yesterday). We are looking for two parent volunteers to accompany the children on the three afternoons (please can you complete the booking form sent out to Year 6 parents yesterday if you are able to help – or contact the office).
Kind regards
Mrs Rose
