Dear Parent / Carer

Just a few reminders about forthcoming dates / events:

• Monday 20^th May – Reception Alien Picnic at 2.30 pm
  The Reception class are having an Alien Picnic on the School field starting at 2.30 pm next Monday afternoon. Reception parents are welcome to join us for a drink and a snack!
  
• Tuesday 21^st May – Year 6 Parents’ Meeting on SRE at 3.20 pm
  We will be holding a Year 6 parents’ meeting on ‘Growing and Changing’ at 3.20 pm.
  
  
• Thursday 23^rd May – Getting Ready for School meetings for September new starters
  We are holding two Getting Ready for School meetings for the parents of our new September starters (we are holding one meeting at 9.15 am and a later one at 4.00 pm).
  
• Thursday 23^rd May – Year 2 Forest School:
  Year 2 children will be going to forest school on the afternoon of Thursday 23^rd May (we already have an adult volunteer, thank you!).
  
• Thursday 23^rd May - Year 2 Parents’ Residential meeting at 3.20 pm:
  We will be holding a Year 2 parents’ residential meeting at 3.20 pm to discuss the forthcoming residential at Ennerdale Scout Centre.
  
• Friday 24^th May – Sports Day:
  We will be holding our Sports Day on the afternoon of Friday 24^th Parents are invited to come and watch the afternoon activities starting at 1.30 pm on the field behind School.  As previously mentioned in our newsletter, the children can come into School in their PE kit / team colours.  They will also need a water bottle please.  The path leading up to the field gate is very uneven and may not be suitable for those who have mobility issues.   Parents can bring their own chairs / blankets with them to the field.  (Please note that our second option for sports day is Thursday 6^th June).
  
• May Half-Term Holiday:
  School will be closed for May half-term from Monday 27th May to Friday 31^st
  
• Increase in wraparound care fees wef 3^rd June 2024:
  Just a reminder that the fees for wraparound care (Breakfast Club and The Den) will be increasing by 50p per session with effect from 3^rd June 2024.
