Dear Parent / Carer

Please find below important updates and reminders about forthcoming dates:

YEAR 6’s only:

  • Tonight - Thursday 19th September: Year 6’s Open Evening at West Lakes Academy from 5.15 pm to 7.00 pm
  • Monday 23rd September: Year 6’s will be going swimming at St Bees’ Pool for their second session.  We have a parent volunteer for this coming Monday plus the following two weeks after that, but we are still looking for a parent helper to accompany the session on the afternoon of Monday 14th October please.  If you are able to help, please can you let Mrs Little know.
  • Thursday 26th September: It is the Year 6 Open Evening at St Benedict’s from 5.00 pm.  (Please note that Keswick School have a variety of open evenings for Year 6 parents which have to be booked in advance using this link here).
  • Wednesday 2nd October: Year 6 Open Evening at Whitehaven Academy at 5.00 pm.

Please note that we have contacted Cumberland Council about the zig zag lines outside of School – I’m sure you will have noticed that they haven’t been replaced to their original length (previously, the zig zag lines went right up to our carpark entrance).  The Council have confirmed that they are coming to extend the lines to their original position but in the meantime, can I please ask that parents/carers do not park in the gap between the carpark and the end of the zig zag lines as it does reduce visibility for pedestrians and we want to keep everyone as safe as possible.  Thank you for your co-operation.

Kind regards

Mrs Rose
