Important information about dates/events28 November 2024 (by admin) |
Dear Parent / Carer
Here are a few important notices about dates / events coming up:
- Whole School Xmas Decoration Day (non-uniform) – Friday 29th November: Just a reminder that we are having our Xmas Decoration Day this Friday (tomorrow) so children can come into School in a Xmas jumper/outfit and we are asking parents for a raffle/tombola prize please. The hamper categories are: Rec / Year 1: Red; Year 1 / 2: Green; Year 3 / 4: Blue and White; Year 5 / 6: Gold. All donations of prizes need to be in School by Friday 6th December please.
- Whole School – Parents’ Online Safety Session – Wednesday 4th December at 3.30 pm: As detailed in last week’s newsletter, we are holding a live information session on how to understand the ‘online world’ and keep our children safe. We will have hot drinks and mince pies - plus childcare - for children who attend our School. Please book on to the session by completing the Microsoft Office form here or you can scan the QR code (attached) before the end of next Tuesday so that we can ensure that we have adequate childcare available for the Wednesday.
- Whole School – Xmas Show Tickets on sale from Monday 2nd December: As stated in the newsletter, our Xmas Show tickets will be available to purchase via the School Hub from Monday morning at £2 each. Tickets are limited to 2 per child(ren) / per family / per performance. If there are any spares following the close of sale next Friday, the priority for the sale of any spare tickets will be to parents of separated families and they will be available to purchase from the School Office directly. After that, any additional spares will be advertised on a first-come, first-served basis. We will update parents by Jotter.
- KS1 Whinlatter trip: Payment is due by 6th December via the School Hub please.
- Year 1 / 2 visit to St Paul’s Church for the Xmas Experience – Tuesday 3rd December: The Year 1 / 2 children will be walking down to St Paul’s next Tuesday morning for an hour.
- Year 5/6 Basketball x 8 children on Friday 29th November: Some of our Year 5/6 will be visiting Whitehaven Academy in the afternoon for a Basketball event. They will need their PE kit and water bottle.
- Year 5 Swimming – Monday 2nd December: It is the final swimming session for our Year 5’s on Monday afternoon.
- KS2 Theatre to the Lake trip – Thursday 5th December: Children will be leaving School just after lunch and returning to School at approximately 5.30 pm. Children are allowed to bring a small amount of snacks with them to eat at the Theatre. The final payment for this trip must be paid prior to 4th December please.
Kind regards
Mrs Rose
