Important information about dates / events

4 December 2024 (by admin)

Dear Parent / Carer

Here are a few important notices / updates about upcoming dates:

  • Parents’ Online Safety session this afternoon from 3.30 pm: Just a reminder that we are holding a live information session on how to understand the ‘online world’.  If you haven’t booked, and would still like to attend, please contact the School Office asap.

  • KS2 Theatre Trip – Thursday 5th December: The whole of KS2 will be visiting Theatre by the Lake at Keswick tomorrow afternoon straight after an early lunch.  As previously informed, children need to wear their uniform and can bring in a small amount of snacks to eat during the performance.   Children will need to take their water bottle with them as well.  We will return to School at approximately 5.30 pm – any change to this will be updated via the Jotter.

  • Whole School – Xmas Show Tickets: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASE YOUR ALLOCATION OF TICKETS BEFORE 12.00 NOON THIS FRIDAY.  As stated in the Jotter message last week, our Xmas Show tickets are available to purchase via the School Hub up to Friday lunch-time this week.  As previously mentioned, tickets are limited to 2 per child(ren) / per family / per performance.  Please note that KS1 tickets need to be collected from the School office and KS2 tickets will be sent home with children.

If there are any spares available following the close of sale at 12.00 noon this Friday, these will be prioritised to parents of separated families and they will be available to purchase (maximum of 1 per family per performance ) directly from the School Office.  From Monday 9th December, any additional spares will be available that morning on a first-come first-served basis.    Due to the size of the KS1 cohort, additional tickets will be extremely limited.

  • Return time to School for evening Xmas performances: Our first Christmas performance takes place next Monday 9th December for our Year 3 / 4 children with performances at 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm.  Please can children return to School for their evening performances at 5.30 pm at the back (kitchen) door via the car-park which will allow them time to get ready for the show starting at 6.00 pm.  Please do not bring children up to School any earlier than 5.30 pm as staff will not be able to let them in until that time and we do not want children standing out in the cold or rain for long periods of time.  Also, when parents are attending the afternoon performances, the doors will only be opened 15 minutes prior to the start of the performances.   We are unable to accommodate parents waiting in our front Reception area to shelter from the elements, so please do not arrive too early!

Anyone requiring emergency evacuation assistance – or any mobility / access issues – please let us know in advance of the performance.  There will be photo / video permission lists displayed at the front door for parents / carers to sign.  Any photos / videos should not be shared on any social media platforms without parental consent.

  • Whole School – Grand Xmas Raffle Tickets: Children will be bringing home some raffle tickets (£1 per ticket) this week which will be drawn at the KS1 evening performance on 17/12/24.  Spare tickets are available from the School office.  All tickets and money need to be returned to School by the morning of the 17th  December.  If you have any outstanding prizes, please can we have them in School by this Friday morning.

  • Monday 9th December – KS1 Julia Donaldson Club: The ‘outstanding’ club session is being held next Monday 9th December due to the cancellation of last week’s session.

  • Tuesday 10th December – KS2 Xmas Club: Due to the KS2 Theatre trip, the additional session for the Xmas club will be held next Tuesday after School.

  • Wednesday 11th December – Walk to Church and Xmas Dinner Day: We are still looking for some additional parent volunteers to walk to Church with us next Wednesday morning from 10.30 am please.  Also, we do need a couple of parents to help set up the hall for Xmas dinner whilst the children are at Church please.  If you are able to help with either of these, please can you let us know asap.  If you want your child to have a Xmas dinner next Wednesday, please can you ensure that it is booked by this Friday.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact School.

Kind regards

Mrs Rose
