Hub 2 U, Xmas Tickets and Dinner

6 December 2024 (by admin)

Hub 2 U - Christmas is coming to Frizington on Monday 16th December 4 pm – 6 pm.

We are lucky to be receiving one of the first visits of the new Hub 2 U.    This is a referral-based event for families, who may find the Christmas period financially challenging.  There is food, games crafts and possibly a visit from the big man himself.  There is also the opportunity to receive supermarket/meat vouchers to help over the festive period.

Numbers are limited and applications close on the 10th of December.  If you would like to join the Christmas party, Mrs Rose can do a referral on your behalf or you can self-refer by ringing 01946 64600.

Please contact Mrs Rose for further information or to request a referral.  Please see further information about the Hub 2 U programme below.

‘Family Hub on Wheels’ – a mobile Hub in the form of a specially kitted-out bus.  Led by Cumberland Council, the bus will operate in a similar way to the Family Hubs – as a partnership, with many different services on offer.

Known as ‘Hub2U’, the bus was named by the council’s youth engagement groups.  The bus will enable local agencies to broaden their geographical reach, taking their services closer to children, young people and families, particularly those in historically underserved or remote areas.  Hub2U will also visit schools to provide themed sessions and targeted prevention programmes on a variety of topics, which could include support around healthy relationships, emotional well-being and substance use.

Like the Family Hubs, Hub2U will be aimed at families of all ages – from early years information, advice and guidance through to support aimed at teenagers and young adults.  Support offered to young adults could include brief interventions around staying safe, friendships and how to keep healthy.

Additional Play Tickets

As previously shared, spare play tickets will be on sale from the school office from 8am on Monday morning.  Additional tickets will be limited to one per performance per family.  These will be cash transactions at the School office (correct change if possible).

Christmas Dinners

Please don’t forget we will be sharing our Christmas dinner together this Wednesday (11th December) – don’t forget to order.  Children can wear their Christmas jumpers with their school uniform.  We still need volunteers for church in the morning please.

Have a lovely weekend.
